Take a Trip to a Local Farm and Petting Zoo
Get up close with some furry friends by visiting one of the many local farms near our Zipit parks! It is not just a great way for kids to learn about animals and agriculture, but also enjoy the outdoors differently! You can take a trip to the Newbridge House & Farm or Glenroe Farm in Dublin or Leahy’s Open Farm in Cork. And in Roscommon, you won’t want to miss the unique Knockvicar Alpaca Farm!
Hike Ireland’s Scenic Trails
Ireland offers some of the most breathtaking landscapes, and there is no better time to explore them than the tail end of summer. Pack a picnic bag and go for a hike along one of the scenic trails, whether you trek the breathtaking Slieve League Cliffs, summit Diamond Hill in Connemara, or chase waterfalls in Killarney.
The mild weather and stunning views make it ideal for a perfect day for bonding and adventure! And if you want to add on a walk after your treetop fun at Zipit, all of our parks are located in forests with numerous trails to discover.

Go For a Family Bike Ride in Ireland
Grab your bikes and hit those trails! With well-developed and fantastic cycling routes, such as the Midleton to Youghal cycling route in Cork, the Canal Way and Phoenix Park cycling route in Dublin, or biking across the lough in the Lough Key Forest Park, it is an activity for everyone to enjoy together! Make it even better with a quick stop en route for some coffee and pastries to fuel up.

Camp Under the Stars in Ireland
This is one magical adventure to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature and with each other! In fact, Lough Key Forest Park, where you’ll find us in Roscommon, has a picture-perfect site for camping or bringing your caravan. Whether you’re pitching a tent at a local campsite or simply in your backyard, don’t forget to get the marshmallows for roasting over the campfire!

Visit the Irish Countryside
A trip to the country is never a bad idea in Ireland! Take a road trip to a nearby town in Cork, Dublin or Roscommon that you’ve never explored before. Wander through the streets, enjoy meals at a new restaurant, and try some activities. Going out and exploring places can feel like a vacation in itself, and is also a great way to discover the hidden gems closer to home.
Have a Beach Day in Ireland
A day out at the beach before the cooler weather sets in sounds about right! Take that dip in the water before it gets too chilly to even be around the sea! Head to the coast, splash in the waves, or even just lounge with a good book. Ireland’s beaches, including Inchydoney Beach in Cork or Sandymount Beach in Dublin, provide a perfect backdrop for a day of relaxation and fun!

The end of summer does not mean the adventure ends here! It has just started. So, why not start ticking off the ultimate end-of-summer adventure list with a high ropes course in one of our parks?
