Zipit Donadea is set within the stunning surrounds of Donadea Forest Park, Co. Kildare. Located just 15 minutes from Maynooth and Clane, and under 30 minutes from Naas and West Dublin, it’s the ideal local spot for Kildare families looking to escape indoor party centers and get into nature.
The format is simple. Your group arrives, gets fitted with high-spec safety harnesses by our expert instructors, and spends the next two to three hours conquering tree canopy circuits. Rope bridges, cargo nets, balance beams, climbing walls, and ziplines flying across forest clearings.
After the treetop action, you have access to picnic areas surrounded by nature for party food, cake, and presents. Bring your own food, stay as long as you like, and head home with tired, happy kids and fantastic photos.
Minimum age is 3. No upper limit. Getting the gang back together for a 60th – we’re here for it!

Safety briefing (15 minutes)
Harness fitting and instruction for everyone. Kids pick it up quickly. Our instructors are used to working with birthday groups and keep the briefing engaging.
All equipment
Harnesses are provided for everyone. Gloves are available to purchase on the day. Just bring comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Trainers are fine. No party shoes, sandals, or flip-flops.
Picnic benches
Picnic benches for food, cake, and presents after the session. You bring everything; we provide the space.

Here’s what a typical 10am party looks like in practice.
9:40am: Arrive at Donadea Forest Park car park (entry €5) and make the 10 minute walk to our course.
10:00am: Everyone gets fitted with harnesses. This takes about 15 minutes for a group of 10 to 12 kids.
10:15am: Group safety briefing. Our instructors explain the courses, demonstrate the safety equipment, and answer questions. About 15 minutes depending on group size and age.
10:30am: Onto the circuits to get the party started. Parents are welcome to follow them around or wait on the ground.
12:30pm: Most kids finishing up. Harnesses off. Everyone heads to the picnic benches.
12:45pm: Food, cake, presents, photos. Take as long as you need.
1:30pm onwards: Head home. Tired children. The best memories.
You can adjust timings to suit. Afternoon parties work just as well.
The standard options for kids’ birthday parties in Kildare—soft play, bowling alleys, and trampoline parks—are fine, but by age 8 or 9, kids have done them all many times over.

Weather: We run in all weather except extreme weather warnings. The forest canopy provides cover in light rain. Bring waterproofs if rain is forecast. If conditions force a cancellation, we’ll reschedule at no cost.
