Outdoor Adventures for Schools in Ireland

Adventure Starts Here

School Tours That Get Them Moving

Up to three hours outdoors, with time to take breaks along the way. No screens, no sitting down, no worksheets.

Students work through our colour-coded, progressive circuits at their own pace, moving from ground-level challenges all the way up to the treetops as their confidence grows. The circuits are graded by difficulty, so a nervous 10-year-old and a confident 16-year-old can both find something that pushes them without overwhelming them.

Teachers are welcome to join in free of charge, or to supervise from the ground if they prefer.

Primary Schools (3rd to 6th Class)

Minimum age 9 to take part. The colour-coded circuits start at just 1 metre off the ground on the green circuit, progressing gradually through orange and white as students build their confidence, with no obligation to go higher than they’re comfortable with.

The experience connects to PE and SPHE curriculum outcomes: physical coordination, managing fear, working with others, building confidence. Students encourage each other through the tricky sections; it happens naturally.

At Djouce Park, we also have a junior ropes course suitable for younger children from age 3, which works well for junior classes or mixed-age groups.

Secondary Schools (1st to 6th Year)

Older and more confident students will naturally progress towards the blue and red circuits, reaching up to 20 metres in the canopy, with ziplines, cargo nets, and elements that require genuine problem-solving. The progressive format means students move through the circuits at their own pace, taking on more challenge as they go.

For Transition Year groups, Zipit counts towards the adventure journey element of the Gaisce Award. We can provide confirmation of participation for students working towards their bronze, silver, or gold awards.

Wellbeing and resilience programmes are a natural fit. Up to three hours outdoors, away from the school building, working through physical challenges that require focus and self-regulation.
