Go Biking in Ireland this May Bank Holiday!

Bike lovers, it’s wheels season and we’ve got some wheel-y good suggestions for you! We’re starting at the top… of the mountain, that is! Glencullen Adventure Park (The GAP) is right alongside our course in Tibradden Woods in Dublin. It is Ireland’s leading purpose-built mountain biking centre with over 35 downhill MTB trails. With trails galore and delicious food offerings on-site, a few hours will fly by!
Or, you can explore the Great Western Greenway, from Westport to Achill Island, along the Atlantic Way, taking in the majestic views along the west coast. The greenway offers 49 km of magnificent landscape, travelling through woodlands and bogs, allowing you to spot the vibrant flora and fauna of the Emerald Isle.
If you want to explore East Cork like never before, head to the Midleton to Youghal Greenway! This 8 km stretch goes from Midleton station and Mogeely village through the scenic East Cork route following the former railway line.
While these are just two of the many biking routes that Ireland has to offer, you can explore all the other routes through Cycling Ireland.
Take A Walk On Ireland’s Wild Side

Venturing outdoors? Walking is one of the easiest and healthiest ways to explore the Irish countryside! Get your gear on and head out to explore one of the many coastal and hiking trails across our beautiful country.
Better yet, all of our Zipit courses are located in Coillte forests, each with its own selection of walking trails. Whether you are looking for an easy walk across the coast or a trail if you are in for a challenge, you can check out a list of Tracks and Trails here. Our blog uncovering Hidden Forest Adventures in Ireland offers a range of further suggestions!
Take a Refreshing Dip in Ireland’s Waters

Splash by the sea in Ireland’s water wonderlands, at one of the iconic locations, including Forty Foot in Dublin, or the Blackrock Diving Tower in Galway. A dip in the cool and clear water will leave you refreshed!
The last few years have seen an increased popularity of mobile saunas and cold plunges, with many people being drawn to their physical benefits, including muscle relaxation, increased blood circulation, and endorphin release.
Book A Boat Tour in Ireland

What better way to spend a day out than to explore the breathtaking and crystal clear waters across Ireland? From short trips to all-day experiences for family, friends, and groups alike, you can choose between options such as Goat Boat Tours in Dublin and Cork Harbour Cruises, to name a few. Boat Trips offers a comprehensive list of all boat trips, cruises, and sea safaris across all of Ireland’s counties.
